The Ivrea's Carnival has a very particular history . In the 17th and 18th centuries each of Ivrea's five wards was using to celebrate the Carnival on one's own . |
During Carnival time oranges were thrown from the balcony against the people without this Liberty symbol ... and surely also against the people "with" the cap but ... disagreeable ! Nowadays orange battle is fought only between throwers on foot representing the people in revolt and others on wagons drawn by horses , representing the tyrant's officers . |
