The  map  shows  the  Cuneo  Province  and  where  Villanova  lies (enlarge  the  picture  and  follow  the  arrow) . On  the  right  of  the  map  the  Langhe  hills , on  the  low  side  and  on  the  left  the  Alps .     Nearby  the  map  a  view  of  the  lower  side  of Villanova .

Our  house  is  in  the  old  upper  side  of  the  village  (2,000  feet  above  sea  level). Built  in  1955 it  was  the  Campana's  holiday  residence .     We  have  been  living  here  since  1992

We  have  some  snow  now  and  our  cats  are  sleeping  by  the  fire !    We'll  continue  as  soon  as  possible  (in  Spring!)

Spring-time  came  at  last !     On  the  left  the  green  country  with  blossoming  cherry-trees  and  on  the  background  the  upper  side  of  Mondovì , a  little  town  of  25,000  people , 4.5  miles  far  away  from  Villanova . Behind  Mondovì  you  can  see  the  Langhe  hills . Mondovì  is  divided  into  three  parts : the  upper  side  (Piazza), the  lower  side  (Breo)  and  the  new  side (Altipiano).

Piazza  is  the  oldest  one  and  there  is  a  beautiful  terrace  with  two  old  towers .   Can  you  see  them ? No ?  We  show  you  the  oldest  one  (1200  A.D.) .       Napoleone  was  fond  of  the  view  from  this  terrace ! On  the  right  you  can  see  a  part  of  this  view  with  Villanova  on  the  background  (at  the  far  left  of  the  picture) .
